Azalea – Photo Diva at Hillcrest Jan 27

Our excellent eagle photographers are providing plenty of documentation to supplement the satellite tracking data to confirm where Azalea is located, but also what she is doing. She did take one trip on Jan 24, but not too far away, and she returned to the Hillcrest area to be photographed again on Jan 25 and 26. These two maps contain more data points than usual including three “pins” on Jan 26, so look carefully.

I have to thank the “Dynamic Duo” (Bev & Cary) as they are the ones that have tracked, and tracked, and tracked some more to find the area and trees. Azalea is a lot more tolerant than Camellia when it comes to having her pic taken, although pushing it and trying to get too close will spook her, as it would with any wildlife.

Great pictures, although I am having a hard time finding the tracking data on the new website of CCB. I finally wrote to Congowings to get the site. Can you provide any info on what to look for on CCB’s site?
Response – The new CCB site is still a work in progress and links to eagletrak and eaglenest have not yet been made.

You’re very kind Shelly. I have fun looking for eagles, how cool it is to find a transmittered one!

Perceptive observations of AZ too, you’ve known her since she has been a bobblehead. Hopefully she will have a quieter week and get some rest.

cbc Norfolk – the best thing to do is check here every couple/several days for Reese’s updates. Otherwise you can sign up for seaturtle.org but the info is not always reliable – and not the easiest to use. http://www.seaturtle.org/tracking/?tag_id=74435

Thanks Reese and Shelly Fowler, I think I have it now so I can continue to enjoy the tracking as well as the beautiful pictures our photographers take. It looks like several of them went looking for AZ–and found her. Thanks for all you do.
